Didn't know that Dead Rejects had a new album out. Thanks for the heads up! You know an album is going to be good when it starts with an Always Sunny clip. Loved the one listen I gave it so far. Was a big fan of Grave Mistakes, so I'm sure I'll listen to this one a bunch.

I don't think they ever broke up, although Bucket is probably the only original member.
The reunion I care about here is the Skunks- they were the first ska album I bought and the first show I ever threw had them headlining.
I never thought I'd see the likes of Call Me Malcom and Just Say Nay on here. Not only are they local legends, but I was lucky enough to share a stage with them over the course of a 3-day festival celebrating the life of Mike Crampton from The Pisdicables who was tragically killed a few years back.

A couple of their songs haven't aged well, though I will say that they too have noticed and have made changes to a couple of their songs (most notably, 'In The Pit')
Call Me Malcolm are genuinely friendly guys. The singer with the beanie and his wife spent a good half hour at a festival with me, having beers, talking about dogs and mental illness. I cannot wait for their new record!
sublime and slightly stoopid are essential to my taste in music, I’ll check it out after work:)

So I just recently got back from the Floggin Molly Salty Dog Cruise, and I can't tell you how happy I was the the DJ between sets decided to play some Skatalites. It was good to hear some old school Ska amongst the punk rock.

I was lucky enough to catch kill Lincoln and be like max in Washington this summer but I fear I’ll never see the suicide machines perform live (EU).
Yeah I "sponsored" a band on the Kickstarer and will be both in the VIP and the Slackers show and and am super looking forward to it. The previous supernovas have been highlights of my otherwise kinda lame existence so I am all in on 2020.
On a ska note, I wanted to like that Big D cover album so much more than I actually did.

How was it? I recall Reel Big Fish being one of the best live shows I've been to.
Yeah, it was pretty good! There was a problem with the sound about 2/3 songs in and they had to walk off stage whilst the rather irate technicians raced to fix it, but apart from that hitch they were on fine form.
Skanksgiving was a blast last night. Everyone killed it and the crowd was awesome minus some random chick who threw up in the middle of my same friend’s dance put during The Suicide Machines. Skatune Network dude played trombone on a few songs with Catbite, Kill Lincoln and The Suicide Machines. Not seeing another big ska show until Supernova 2020 so I’m already looking forward to June unless something suddenly gets announced.
edit: Jay Navarro said that The Suicide Machines have a new record coming out on Fat Wreck Chords in March 2020. They played a new song and it sounded real good. Very similar to Destruction By Definition stuff.
